Tahsin Demir runs a carpet shop in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. His life changes when a young boy walks into his store to offer him an antique carpet for sale. After close inspection, Tahsin realizes that the carpet was no ordinary piece. After purchasing it he asks a friend, Professor Mehmet Okman, a world authority on Oriental carpets to evaluate his find. Okman confirms that the carpet was presented to Kaiser Wilhelm II by the Sultan Mahmed V in 1917 when the Kaiser visited Turkey.
Little did Demir know the consequences that would manifest after the carpet was deemed to be authentic: Murder, jealousy, romance, grand theft and intrigue were all to follow when Grace Moreland and Ryan Thomas from the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, visited Istanbul to see if this was in-fact, the treasure that was stolen from the museum in 1951.
A fast paced thriller, which visits Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Australia, Greece and the United States of America.
